Navigate 2.1.2 Recorded Session Quest

Discuss the experiences with this quest and the process of recording a session. Was the task easy? Challenging? Did the process present problems? Document the responses and general reflections on synchronous learning and the recorded session in your blog.

I used BB Collaborate with the Balckboard LMS. The setting up of the session was easy. In the course list i have a link to online session. the link take s me to a page in BB where I can click on NEW and a dialogue box comes up. I fill in all the relavant information and click OK. The BB give me a link to embed in an email or put in an announcement.

Once in a while there are problems with individuals. They forget to turn off their mike or if dialing in do not mute there phone. This causes a lot of background noise.

Occasionally a student has a hard time getting itno the session so I would suggest an non graded or non threatening session where everyone is allow to experiment with the hardware just to see how it all works for them.

I find that these types of synchronous sessions can be very helpful esp for test review and small groups work.
