Communicate 2.1.3 Ongoing Communication Quest

Ongoing communication in an effective online classroom must not revolve solely around performance or grade updates. Consider integrating the following into personal or mass communication to facilitate a collaborative approach to learning, the course, and the online experience:

• reminder of important dates
• words of encouragement on a single project, exam, synchronous section, or insightful comment
• outstanding effort or marked improvement
• a phone call regarding something exceptional

With the online classroom time it is important to be sure that you communicate often and clearly with your class. The can be done in a variety of ways.
