Participate 2.1.1 Collecting Reputable Digital Resources

I am using Delicious to collect by URL's for the courses i teach. I teach programming, Digital literacy and web page design so my sources are changing a lot.

There are also many sources out there and the students will be going to them often so it is important to make sure they are reputable. I generally stay away from websites with many advertisements. If I do have to use one with ads, it will look at it several times over a period of a month to see how the ad change and where a click on the ad will take me. Some website with ads are OK but you do have to be careful.

I also will sit at the computer, as if I am a student and click on my resources. I will then think of the information I am looking for and see how fast I can find it on the web. If it takes more than 3 clicks or the information is not as useful as I would like then the link is not used.

My main concern is to keep the students safe and informed. If one of those tests fails the source cannot be used.
